Whether or not you visit Stowe and the Van Trapp Lodge, June's a lovely month to visit Vermont. It's not too hot and not too cold. The trees are green and the flowers are blooming.
You can boat on the sixth largest lake in the United States, Lake Champlain. Or bike down a country road. Perhaps you would like to hike over one of Vermont's 223 mountains over 2,000 feet in elevation, then descend into a verdant valley dotted with dairy cows.
